Allied London continues to impress

Another 35 new companies move to Spinningfields in the last nine months, making a total of over 42 commercial companies now located in Spinningfields.

Today Allied London has revealed that its Spinningfields development continues to be successful in the teeth of what some describe as the worst property market ever, proving the resilience of Allied’s strategy of designing the best buildings and environments and most sustainable for occupiers.

The developer today announced lettings of over 50,000 sq ft in outstanding new office building – 3 Hardman Street. Beachcroft have taken 25,500 sq ft,  14,000 sq ft has been let to a leading professional  services firm and 10,000 sq ft to national law firm Shoosmiths. These lettings have been secured hard on the heels of a total of 60,000 sq ft letting to GMC, who have just acquired a further 10,000 sq ft, and a letting of 15,000 sq ft to Pure Gym.

But that is only part of the story:  Spinningfields, which this summer has become a destination, not only for the 15,000 employers  located here, but also for the thousands of visitors who have been enjoying sport and film in the new ‘Screenfields’ area.

Allied has secured major tenants such as BDO Stoy Hayward, Bank of New York Melon, Pinsent Masons, Baker Tilly and has also very cleverly partnered Regus, and secured some 23 other smaller companies, by using part of 3 Hardman Street ,what is Manchester’s best serviced office centre.

Michael Ingall, Chief Executive of Allied London comments:

“The activity at Spinningfields does not stop, this summer has seen the estate just buzzing and the demand from occupiers has been consistent, we have a real momentum, and an energy, and are delighted that Manchester really is adopting the development as its new prime business areas.

Our vision is becoming a reality, we have some exciting space to lease over the next six months; one floor of 35,000 sq ft in 3 Hardman Street which is by far the best of its type in any city in the UK, and then there is Number 1 The Avenue which can offer an iconic headquarters building.

The Manchester market for us has proved resilient over the last twelve months and with a staggering total of 35 organisations moving its business here, it can only get better.

We are working hard now on adding further retail and leisure amenities and hope to make further announcements shortly.”

DTZ and Jones Lang LaSalle are commercial property agents for Allied London; King Sturge acted for Beachcroft, Jones Lang LaSalle for GMC and Ben Coleman Associates for Shoosmiths.
